It’s hard to fall asleep when you’ve only been awake for 12 hours.

# arctic winter problems

Today I was cleaning the trucker bathroom at work and noticed some new graffiti that read, “Ice road queers.” Of course it was meant to be an anti-gay slur slighting the show, but I couldn’t help but laugh because it got me thinking about what Ice Road Truckers would be like if the entire cast was comprised of self-identified queer people. I smell an Emmy.

My friend Kris took this picture of us walking back to Coldfoot after climbing a mountain a couple summers ago. I’m so excited to go back!

I have the Coldfoot bug really bad. 2 months and I’ll be back! All that stands in my way is a bunch of pesky stuff like graduating from college and all that.

This was my favorite favorite sled dog in Coldfoot, his name was Sleeper. Whenever you’d try to get him to do anything, he’d just curl up and go to sleep. He was killed by a moose who wandered into the dog lot last winter.
